WHY A DETOX
We have lost a little bit of our relationship with food. We eat because we are under stress, out of emotion, out of habit, out of impulse. More and more people are also becoming insulin resistant by eating too much sugar and not getting enough of the signal that there is already enough insulin.
Every time you eat something, your immune system is activated. With the detox you really give your immune system a few days of rest. So you will now have much less eating moments than you are normally used to. This can be quite challenging. That’s why we’re here to help you through it! PREPARATION FOR YOUR DETOX JUICE CLEANSE
A good preparation is half of the cleanse! Just like a 10km race, you don’t just do a detox juice cleanse and you prepare your body for it. We have therefore drawn up the following 10 golden rules for you:
10 GOLDEN DETOX RULES
1) Plan your detox!
2) Eat as clean as possible the days before your detox.
3) Slowly reduce your coffee, one less each day.
4) Try to eat a vegetarian diet the last few days before your detox.
5) Avoid alcohol, greasy food and sweets.
6) Prefer not to use red meat either, because that takes a very long time for your intestines to digest.
7) In the last days before your detox, do not eat carbohydrates from white grains (think white bread, white pasta)
8) Try to eat a maximum of 3 times a day, max. 2 snacks
9) Try the recipes from the supplied recipe book for your preparation days
10) Prepare yourself mentally, what do you want to achieve with the detox

In between you can always drink unlimited water, green tea and herbal tea. With a detox juice cleanse, the more you drink, the better. You help your body to remove waste products faster. Also exercise – not too intensive – alternating showers or a sauna visit helps! Do you want to keep exercising during your detox juice cleanse? Keep in mind that you are in a calorie deficit and so do not ask too much of yourself. When exercising, take an extra protein source in addition to your juices, such as a handful of unroasted nuts or the protein from a boiled egg.
